Mr. McFeely spends a neighborly day delivering Valentines to VA Pittsburgh Health Care System
On February 12, Mr. McFeely (aka David Newell) delivered children’s handmade Valentines to hospitalized veterans who served our country over the years, from World War II through the present War in Iraq.
Valentine cards and letters poured into VA hospitals from children across the country simply addressed "Dear Veteran." The veterans in the VA Pittsburgh Health Care System received theirs in a “Speedy Delivery” from Mr. McFeely – along with a “neighborly” visit.
One veteran told David that getting a handmade Valentine reminded him of what it was like to be a father of young children again.
