Library "Backroom Quilters" create two Mister Rogers' sweater quilts.
One quilt will be raffled to benefit children’s programs at the C.C. Mellor Memorial Library in Edgewood, Pa, while the other will be on permanent display in that library’s Fred Rogers Children’s Room.
Contestants' expertise on all things Mister Rogers tested on national radio and television
On February 19, 1968, Mister Rogers' Neighborhood made its debut on national public television. Two game shows, National Public Radio's "Wait, wait...don't tell me!" and the syndicated television show, "Jeopardy," quizzed contestants on their Neighborhood knowledge. <read more.
Mr. McFeely spends a neighborly day delivering Valentines to veterans.
On February 12, Mr. McFeely (aka David Newell) delivered children’s handmade Valentines to hospitalized veterans who served our country over the years, from World War II through the present War in Iraq.
