Parents and Teachers

Won’t You Be My Neighbor? Day had a special focus this year on the Environment, helping children and families know some of the things even young children can do to help take care of the earth – turning off lights, making playthings from “throwaways,” even turning off the water while brushing teeth. And when we help children to appreciate nature and the world around us, we can build on their "caring about" the environment to help them develop a lifelong "caring for" it.

We have a specially selected episode of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood about Caring for the Environment cleared for use in child care with accompanying teacher's guide available in our online shop
