About Family Communications

Beginnings
We're a nonprofit organization founded in 1971 by Fred Rogers as the production company for MISTER ROGERS' NEIGHBORHOOD.

What We Do' Legacy
We develop projects in all media, provide education and training for people who work with young children and consult on issues that affect families.

Who We Are
Our multidisciplinary staff collaborates with a variety of partners and funders as well as board members and advisors, to shape the work at hand.
"Family Communications itself is like a family: very nurturing, sharing joys and sorrows. It’s wonderful that Fred’s philosophy lives on in our workplace, as well as in the projects we create."
-- Marisa Lynch
